I am tall but I don't like it. I love to laugh. I'm nearly always late. I hate spiders and thunderstorms. I love to stay in bed all day. I like things to be tidy and in their place. I hate mess. I drive my boyfriend crazy: I like that. I hate mornings. I love the smell of freshly cut grass. I hate the dark. I wish I wore more skirts and heels, but I'm comfortable in jeans and trainers. I love my friends, they are my family. I like numbers: they make sense. I like to make things. I love to watch people dance. I hate to dance. I'm shy and self-conscious. I love to take pictures. I hate having my picture taken. I cannot sing. At all. I am happiest when reading. I love to learn. I have found 'the one'. I love to spend money. I'm upfront and honest. I do not like lies. I always carry chewing gum. I never seem to get it quite right, but I'm happy being me. My brother laughs at me; my sister gets me.
i have just come back from my parents house where my mum decided to go through her old sewing box and offload some of her *junk* (her word) on me
vintage ribbon (the white one my mum bought when she was 15, and one is from the Queen's silver jubilee!), old patches, many buttons...i am in heaven =)
next time i go over i'm going to look through my grandmothers sewing box...
OMGosh, the Queen's Jubilee items are fabulous!!! How cool that your mom saved them!
Can't wait to see what your grandmother's sewing box reveals!
A while back I bought a wicker sewing box that someone had donated to the church rummage sale. I'd put it in my closet (was too busy to look at it right then) and kind of forgot about it!
Reading this reminded me of it -- now I'm going to go check it out more thoroughly. It had belonged to someone's great aunt & looked like it had some vintage things in it. :-)
